Q. Why do we not have under 18’s?
A. Total Girl was recreated as a recruitment tool for girl’s soccer. The tournament is run preseason to enable clubs to use the tournament to attract players. Our demographic is 9 to 16 years of age in line with Total Girl magazine. While we appreciate that teams have a great time and want to keep coming back we are limited to the number of grounds we can set up at Grammar and our focus in on building the junior divisions. We strongly encourage girls that have participated to return as Coaches or to Referee.See home page for exciting devlopment.
Q. How do you know what division to put teams in?
A. FFV assists us with gradings based on information available to them. We also speak to the Coaches to ascertain the level of skills and abilities and this determines what division you are in.
Q. Why do you only have medals for first place?
A. Every player is supplied with a Total Girl Show bag to reinforce that every girl is important and that they are here to play good soccer and have fun at the largest all girls tournament in Australia.
Who wins is not our focus; that is not to say that we don’t have some superb games and some outstanding skills displayed, but we wish to reinforce the love of the game, teamwork, fun and fitness no matter where your team comes.
Q. Do we have to be registered with a club?
A. No. It can be just a bunch of girls getting together for a fun soccer weekend.
Q. What about insurance?
A. You will have coverage from the FFV.
